Abbas Kiarostami’s Certified Copy is an elegant, enigmatic puzzle. If you sit down to watch the movie assuming it will be genteel arthouse fare, Kiarostami soon starts pulling the rug out from under you; he has something more disorienting in mind. Rome Like Chicago is an unassuming cops-and-robbers flick from Italy circa 1968, and as such probably isn't a film to interest the average moviegoer today.
